How to Start a Side Hustle Selling Posters Online With $0 Investment
Years ago I was obsessed with posters.
When I was a teenager, nearly every inch of my bedroom wall was covered in some sort of music, movie, TV, and celebrity artwork. Even in college I looked forward to the annual September poster sale.
It wasn’t until a few years ago that I began dabbling more in graphic design. As a Boston area native, I thought it would be fun to create a poster guide for the region’s unique vocabulary. On a whim, I created an Etsy seller account and posted the guide, not really expecting much to happen.
Here’s how the product has performed in less than two years:
One hit product that generates $1,000+ in revenue might now sound like much. But then I added another winning poster design. Then another, and so on and so forth.
Today my Etsy store ranks in the top 10% of sellers, and I’ve branched out into several product categories. But posters are still one of my top sellers, which is what I will focus on in this guide.
